Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard working children who have struggled with reading most of their lives. They read differently and need the right tools in order to stay focused and thrive.

Guided reading is such an integral part of learning to read.

Many times we rely on technology in this technologic age, but for special learners it is important for them to have physical books in which they can turn the page and become entranced in the world created by the author.

My Project

With the rise of Omicron it has become increasingly more important to keep our classrooms sanitized and safe. The need for disinfecting sprays and sanitizers has grown so much that it is difficult for our schools to keep up. It has also created a space filled with fear and anxiety for our kids.

With your help I will be able to create a space with these reclining chairs that is not only safe from infections but a space that will help keep my students calm and comfortable in this ever-changing and tough situation.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
