My Students

Do you remember what it is like to learn a completely new language? My eager and fun-loving transitional kindergartners are learning Mandarin in a dual immersion program. They are immersed in Mandarin while learning their Common Core state standards-based curriculum. Many come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and speak several languages, but the love of learning unifies them as a class family.

Our school is a Title I, performance improvement school with ninety-eight percent of our students qualify for the free lunch program.

Many parents work two jobs and are struggling to support their families. My students are an eager group of learners who would benefit from the resources you provide.

My Project

I have a group of twenty energetic and creative students. They are active and always on the go. Creating a healthy and clean learning environment is very essential for our young children, especially during the COVID - 19 pandemic.

The organizer rolling cart can hold sanitizers, wet wipes, bandages, face masks, and glove in one place for students to use conveniently around the classroom.

Students can learn in school feeling safe and protected! Curious young children are constantly on the go and touching everything. Sanitizers allow students to clean their hands thoroughly and frequently in class. Therefore, no germ or bacteria will spread when handling learning materials in class. In addition, the t-shirts are for students to create their own design. T-shirts are a personal canvas for individuals to represent their inner self. Students can express their feelings, interests, and passions through the creating of the t-shirt. Students feel a sense of pride and unity. Students will be so thrilled to wear their custom t-shirts to spread their love and happiness around the community. Finally, these health and wellness materials can help kids stay "HEALTHY" and "HAPPY" in school during COVID-19!
