Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income and high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges, in and out of the classroom. Although my students face many challenges, they are eager to learn and love school!

I am always looking for ways to provide my students with creative, meaningful, and challenging learning experiences.

Sometimes it is difficult to do so due to the lack of resources, both at home and at school.

My students attend one of the largest schools in our district. They share resources with 800 other students from TK-5th grade. They also live in a densely populated area and have limited resources at home.

Despite all of these struggles my students are always ready to learn new things, read new books, and go to different places. They persevere and try their best in all they do.

My Project

Help my students with health and wellness as they return to school from winter break. By providing basic necessities to students, such as: toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, socks, gloves, shampoo, conditioner, and face masks to help keep them safe, you can help them succeed in class.

My students carry a lot of stress during these difficult times and I help them alleviate that stress by incorporating art into our school day.

By helping fund this project you will be giving students pencil boxes, markers, pencils, and sketchbooks to help them alleviate some of that stress by focusing on art.

Your donations to our classroom would benefit my students by giving them resources to help with their basic needs as well as giving them resources that help with their mental health.
