My Students

My class consists of seventeen first graders. They love math and learning through games. They are very inquisitive and want to learn as much as they can about the world around them. They love to learn and they love to learn about the world around them.

My students never cease to amaze me with their fearless attitude when it comes to learning new things.

Our school is located in a low socio-economic area. Although our school district does everything it can to provide as many resources as possible for our students, often the resources I would like to provide for my students are simply unavailable.

My Project

Providing my students with light snacks and water bottles to stay hydrated keeps their minds and bodies ready to learn. They will have their personal water bottles that may be filled and used throughout the day. Providing my students with cleaning materials helps them to learn and maintain the cleanliness of our classroom. Who says the custodial staff is solely responsible for the cleanliness of our classroom? They are not! Students and teachers are responsible as well. This will also provide my students with skills that they may carry on through life to keep themselves and their families healthy and well.
