My Project

My fourth graders are diverse learners with a wide range of strengths and needs. One of the most powerful ways I support them is through small group instruction; meeting with students in focused, targeted groups to address specific skills in reading and math.

To make this possible every day, I am requesting a class set of durable headphones along with a wall-mounted headphone organizer to keep them organized and accessible.

During our literacy and math blocks, students rotate through stations. While I meet with a small group to provide direct, targeted instruction, the rest of the class works independently on meaningful tasks.

With a full set of headphones, students can work quietly on individualized computer lessons, digital reading and math programs can be completed without distracting others, and every child can stay engaged and focused.

This quiet, independent work time is essential. It allows me to create a calm, low-noise environment where I can truly listen to my small group students, identify skill gaps, and provide the support they need to grow.

Without headphones, background noise can make it difficult for students to concentrate, and even harder for small group instruction to be effective.

The wall-mounted organizer will keep our classroom tidy, prevent tangled cords, and help students take responsibility for shared materials. Easy access and organized storage mean we can transition smoothly between rotations and maximize every minute of learning.
