Headphones for Student Initiated Learning

Help me give my students high-quality headphones so that they are able to access and engage with online materials to support their learning.

My Students

I teach an incredible group of young Baltimore City students. After two challenging and unpredictable school years, this group of seventh-graders returned to the classroom with a drive to learn. This year, they have been working to build Math skills that may have been lost during the pandemic. These seventh-grade students aim to be on grade-level so that they can set themselves up for success in the future and their perseverance and commitment to this goal amazes me and would definitely amaze you.

My Project

Students in the seventh-grade have been engaging with a variety of online resources including Blended Learning platforms, curriculum platforms, and additional enrichment materials. As students build their computer skills and learn how to enrich their knowledge through the internet, it would be beneficial for them to have a set of headphones to utilize as they work. With many students working independently at different portions of class, an individual set of headphones would limit distractions to the students and to others. Help support the seventh-grade as we push our learning to the next level!
