This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students at the school are passionate about things they care about. As a math teacher that does not always mean that they care about math as it is difficult for the majority of them. However seen the smiles in their faces when they begin to learn things and build up their confidence is a great sight to see.

I have 6th graders who are sweet, caring and empathetic towards each other and also 8th graders who are looking for their place in the world, can be rebellious but also are looking for someone to look up to and a purpose in life.

My Project

One of the most subjects that students hate the most is math.This is something that as a math teacher, I am constantly brainstorming how best to engage my students.

In my classroom, we utilize technology in order to reach different learning style, having headphones creates for more differentiation and more productivity due to minimizing distractions.

Having headphones will not only allow my students to engage with math, but it also creates a better classroom atmosphere where students are proud to have nice things in the classroom. One of the best things about these headphones as described by students is that it does not pull your hair like the flimsy ones most classes buy!
