Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to be able to promote how important agriculture is to our classroom and in our community. We live in a rural area and majority of our students do not know the process of how chickens come from eggs. I want to be able to give them opportunity to learn and understand the poultry production.

I want to be able to teach them that natural beauty is everywhere, and we often overlook it.

We will be painting with soils. With this activity it will give them a chance to see soil colors that serve as pigments in bricks, pottery, and artwork. Each student will design their own miniature barn quilt. Most of us overlook this natural beauty that we see every day.

The last STEAMA activity students will make their own butter, and they will be able to spread their butter on toast.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
