Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of my students are aspiring to become engineers. This ninth-grade campus is a Title I school. We are a very ethnically diverse school and school district. When these students make it to college, many of them will be the first in their families to attend instruction beyond high school.

My Principles of Applied Engineering students need hands-on experience.

The students in my classroom are very visual and kinetic learners. We have a 3-D printer, but our supply of the filament is extremely limited. It is my desire that each student have the opportunity to be able to “produce” one of their creations.

In addition; I will be able to print prototypes/models to help with the learning process. Having this equipment would increase each student’s ability to gain an understanding of engineering concepts and it will allow them to effectively analyze each design/concept.
