The items in this project will help fill our snack bin and give my newcomer/immigrant students a warm hat, gloves, and jackets for recess.
Many of my newcomer/immigrant students don’t have a warm stocking hat, gloves, or a jacket to wear outside to recess.
This project will provide them with one of their own. This is a must during winter.
My newcomer/immigrant students always stay focused and more engaged in lessons when they are able to have a morning snack. The snacks in this project will help my students have a healthy snack. My newcomer/immigrant families sometimes struggle with having enough food. The snacks in this project will be used for these students in class. The newcomer/immigrant families will also be sent home with snacks as needed. The cups will be used for any newcomer/immigrant students that doesn’t have their own classroom water bottle.
