My Students

Hello! Thank you for reading about my proposed project! I am so fortunate to work with such incredible children from the S.H. School District. Currently, I am a second grade teacher working both remotely and in-person with my students.

One of the many things that I love about our district is the diversity.

We are considered a Title I school which means 40% of the children are considered at the poverty level. Despite the many challenges they face, they are always willing to participate in engaging activities and are eager to learn! I strive to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences!

My Project

Your very generous donation would give my second grade students an experience that they will never forget! The students will be given the chance not only to study duck embryology, but they will be able to see up close for themselves just how the embryo develops. The incubator will allow my students to successfully watch the development and hatch baby ducklings within our second grade classroom.

Students learn best by doing and being actively involved in their own learning!

This duck embryology unit has always been a memorable experience but a new incubator is needed to continue the program.
