My Students

I teach fourth grade in rural central Utah. We are a low income and Title I school. My students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.

My students are bright, inquisitive, and eager to learn new things.

They work hard to do their best. My students are fun and are full of questions! They are working hard to fill in the gaps from COVID.

I want my classroom to be an experience that helps my students feel successful, motivated, and determined to do their best! As fourth graders, my students understand that COVID has created learning gaps and they have a steep road ahead. I want my students to continue trying and not to give up when learning is hard.

My Project

I have some of the most inquisitive students and they love to learn. We need some basic supplies such as whiteboard dry erase markers, pencil sharpeners, and book boxes. These things will help students to make new knowledge more concrete and help close the COVID gap that the majority of students are working to overcome.

I also would love to be able to reward my students with some incentives for working extra hard, giving a great effort, and being a learner especially when so many concepts are new due to COVID!

I feel that the incentives will motivate students to keep pushing themselves, keep trying even if it's difficult, and to give it all they've got.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
