My Project

Over the years, I have taught students with different disabilities. Our program focuses on the individual needs of the student. Because of this we are continuously growing our program. Every year, we have had to find more resources and create new task boxes. This year, we have gained students that have different needs than in the past.

My students with Autism do their best when they are able to do hands-on tasks.

I am requesting hands-on activities from Learning Resources to help my students practice basic skills. We have many smaller task boxes that focus on math problems or scenarios but not as many doing hands-on activities. We are hoping to expand our opportunities for hands-on activities. For example: instead of matching numbers on flash cards, we can put together popsicles or Llamas.
