My Project

My students are eager to learn the English language and love using hands-on materials! Our school is a welcoming community- based neighborhood school serving a diverse group of students. We have a large variety of languages in our school, and we are proud to be such a diverse school. My students in grades k-2 are all learning a variety of math topics as we are now in the second half of the school year. Learning the English Language is a challenge and my students need math manipulatives as they work independently to solve word problems.

Help me give my students an engaging and interactive way to teach math!

Hands-on math materials are a necessity when teaching math concepts. This is especially necessary for ESL students. When students use concrete materials such as regrouping charts, base ten blocks, and magnetic visual models, it allows them to problem solve with accuracy.
