Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Third graders are perfect and my students are no exception. They embody the creative, open-minded, goofy, and willing-to-learn spirit of children. The diversity of my students makes for the perfect atmosphere to build attitudes of tolerance and respect, and I enjoy helping them develop those attitudes. My students are always ready to work and grow.

My Project

During these last couple years of the pandemic, students have not had much of an opportunity to learn content hands on. This type of learning is crucial for students to really grasp a concept and make learning their own. I want to give them this opportunity in the classroom using Ozobots.

Ozobots are hands-on tools used to learn how to code.

They teach students the ever-growing skill of coding without the use of a computer. There are many ways to use Ozobots that get the kids thinking critically and problem solving. These skills are important to have throughout their education and I hope it can start here in my classroom!
