Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are young explorers who are ready to begin their education with a fresh and welcoming start! These 5-6 year olds are just beginning their longest journey yet: school. My kindergartners are adventurous, silly, and some of the brightest and heart-felt individuals you will ever meet!

My students come with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds.

With this diversity, comes different needs for each student that deserve to be fulfilled. Although nearly all students come from low-income homes, my students are intelligent, strong, and have the ability to succeed! Together, we will utilize our differences to create a safe and fun environment.

My Project

The items are very diverse in the ability of students will be able to use the manipulatives in small group, centers, or individual work.

The manipulatives in my project will give my students the opportunity to learn using hands-on experiences.

The majority of the project is towards new headphones. Since the pandemic hit and we distanced learned, technology has become part of my kinder's every day. Although we are learning in person now, they still have laptops just in case we have to switch back to distance learning. The headphones will allow them to ignore loud distractions and focus on learning either at home or in class.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
