Hands-on Exploration

Help me give my students hands-on learning materials. They have been learning online and haven't had many real life opportunities. Giving them science labs and math manipulatives will help them explore new concepts in applicable ways.

My Students

Our class is full of diversity. I have many students with varying degrees of English language proficiency as well as students with different learning disabilities. Many of my students are at or below the poverty level. Despite these challenges, they work so hard at being good friends to everyone, loving their differences, and creating a positive classroom environment.

I am looking for help to provide resources that will allow us to continue developing computer skills and prepare us for 21st century learning.

My Project

Students have had to learn remotely, switch between in person and virtual school, cancel field trips, and use computers more than ever. My students are missing the real life connections they get from exploring math and science through labs and manipulatives.

These materials will allow my students to participate in experiments and visualize math in new ways.

The Covid-19 pandemic has made hands on learning difficult because students were being asked to learn these concepts virtually or alone because they couldn’t work in collaborative groups. These materials will help them dive deeper into these concepts and give them a break from virtual learning.

My students thrive when they are able to learn together and explore things at their own pace. These materials will benefit them in many ways.
