My Students

My students are loud, kind, and very inquisitive. They all want to be the teacher and aren't scared to be in front of the class. They love working together and helping each other out.

I want my students to look forward to coming to class and to know that their teacher cares about them as well as their success.

Our school is located in rural Utah. We have two grocery stores and only a handful of stoplights in our entire town. It is a wonderful community where people help each other out.

My Project

My students are all playing catch up from their time away from school. Because of this, my classroom needs a lot of whole group instruction. Keeping the students at their desks during this instruction does not keep their attention as well as coming to the rug and working together does.

The math and literacy supplements engage the students to actively participate in their learning.

To ensure as much growth as possible for each of the students I try to make learning as fun and interesting as possible so they can feel good about their progress.
