My Students

My students may need a little more than others as it relates to accommodations, modification, visual and tactile support. They are eager to learn and look forward to the introduction of new resources and sources of engagement for them. They vary in abilities and enjoy independent work application opportunities.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.

We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, independent practice, one-on-one intensified sessions, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have this group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

As it relates to care and a warm learning environment, our classroom can use the laminating machine to protect important resources that can be wiped down in our current climate.

Having a laminator assists teachers in creating reusable and reliable materials for student learning and parental communication.

We do not use a lot of books; instead we rely on printed worksheets per individualization. A laminator will help students keep up with materials and projects as well as wipe down what is going home and coming back to school.

Many students have difficulty understanding that they can combine two separate numbers to make a quantity that is greater. Counting with manipulatives is a great way to help students learn to add numbers together. With these materials, I'll use explicit instruction to help students to learn counting on. Additionally, the water and bubble bin for alphabets will help jumpstart learning the ABCs in a very fun way!
