Because of you, our students received six tablets, and these devices have already made a lasting, meaningful impact on how they experience language learning every day.\r\n\r\nIn a world language classroom, access to technology is not just convenience; it is a bridge to communication, confidence, and connection. Before receiving the tablets, many students had limited opportunities to practice speaking and listening independently. Now, the tablets are integrated into our daily lessons and station rotations, allowing students to engage with French in interactive, personalized, and empowering ways.\r\n\r\nStudents use the tablets to record themselves introducing themselves in French, practicing phrases such as their names, ages, and interests. They listen back to their recordings, reflect on their pronunciation, and try again. This process has been compelling for students who are shy or hesitant to speak in front of the class. The tablets give them a safe space to practice, make mistakes, and grow more confident before sharing aloud with peers. They also allow students to watch short, age-appropriate videos from French-speaking countries, helping them connect the language they are learning to real people and cultures around the world.\r\n\r\nOne moment that really captured the impact of your generosity happened during our very first lesson using the tablets. A student who rarely volunteered raised her hand and asked if she could record her response one more time because she wanted to \"sound more confident.\" After replaying her recording, she smiled and said, \"I didn't know I could speak French like that.\" That moment (small on the surface but powerful in meaning) perfectly reflects the confidence and self-belief your donation has helped build.\r\n\r\nThe tablets have also been a game-changer for our multilingual learners and students with diverse learning needs. Many of our students are learning French while also developing English, and the ability to pause, replay, and practice at their own pace has made language learning more accessible and less intimidating. Instead of feeling rushed or pressured, students now have time and tools to truly process and internalize new language. For students who benefit from movement and choice, the tablets offer flexibility, enabling them to learn in ways that work best for them. \r\n\r\nFrom a teaching perspective, the tablets allow me to support every learner better. I can collect quick audio responses, review student work, and plan targeted instruction based on real evidence of student progress. This means students receive instruction that meets them where they are and helps them move forward with confidence.\r\n\r\nPlease know that your generosity goes far beyond providing technology. You have given our students a voice. You have helped them see themselves as capable communicators, willing to take risks, and proud of their progress. Your support sends a powerful message to our students that their learning matters, their voices matter, and they are worthy of investment.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and for making this project possible. Your impact is visible every day in our classroom, and it will continue to shape our students' confidence and love for language learning for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1757791074885,"projectUrl":"project/more-french-more-fun-tablets-for-our-c/9693954/","projectTitle":"More French, More Fun: Tablets for Our Class!","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Madame Gadie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10246402_orig.jpg?crop=686,686,x0,y125&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757381939025","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10246402"},{"teacherId":8224837,"projectId":9606729,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible donations to our classroom biodiversity. ADHD does not manifest the same way in all children, but children with ADHD can have problems with concentration, as well as regulation and control of words and actions. This resulting in difficulty organizing ideas and materials, retaining information, remaining still, and turn taking. \r\n Teachers can use a range of ADHD classroom tools to help students improve focus and performance in the classroom. One of these specific tools is to provide alternate seating that has a physical component. Due to your generosity, I was able to provide Bouncy Band Wiggle chair feet to 4 different students, inflatable wiggle chair cushions to 4 students, and elastic bands for chairs that provide sensory input for students. I have seen a huge improvment in my students who use these products. These tools allow students to move around in a way that is not disruptive to the classroom. By using these tools, students can focus on the teacher and completing their classwork.\r\n I am extremely greatful to you and your williness to support public school classrooms. Without your support, I would not be able to provide these necessary tools to my students.","fullyFundedDate":1735507338867,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-helping-improve-focus/8723965/","projectTitle":"Tools for Helping Improve Focus","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9719783"},{"teacherId":9850814,"projectId":8978786,"letterContent":"I can't thank you enough for making our From a Hallway to a Student Art Gallery project a reality!
