My Project

I am a teacher for student with different abilities. Neurodiverse learners often require multiple sensory inputs (visual, tactile, and kinesthetic) to retain information. Materials like textured graphics or 3D models engage the sensory and motor-related parts of the brain, which research shows can lead to better retention and higher test scores. Hands-on task materials, such as independent task boxes, are designed to teach students to work without constant adult prompting. This builds self-esteem and essential life skills by allowing them to master skills at their own pace. Students with learning disabilities often struggle with abstract ideas. Physical manipulatives—like blocks, sorting bins, or tactile letters—make these concepts tangible, allowing students to "see and touch" the information to improve comprehension. We appreciate all the support with our project.
