At our school, a STEMA (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Arts) school, we make a difference by serving all students with a passion to succeed. Our students thrive to be the change we need to see in the world. They are the next doctors, scientists, mathematicians, teachers, or even PRESIDENT of the future. They are talented, motivated, and creative when they are provided with the necessary tools needed to set them up for success.
Unfortunately, many of our students will not be exposed to STEMA based projects outside of school, so it is our job to provide these types of engaging opportunities to push our students thinking.
We want to close the achievement gap by using a thematic approach in our curriculum and incorporating project-based learning, hands-on experiences, and taking into account the varying learning styles of our students.
Our goal is the prepare them to be the best they can be, dream big, and make them college and career ready. We want our children to develop a love for learning, instill the value that education can literally take you anywhere, and make them a force to be reckoned with in competitive job markets. Please help!
My Project
STEM education is active and focuses on a student-centered learning environment. Our goal is to have our students engage in questioning, problem solving, collaboration, and hands-on activities while they address real life issues. These building activities will guide students through the problem-solving process and plan projects that lead to mastery of content and STEM proficiency.
STEM proficient students are able to answer complex questions, investigate global issues, and develop solutions for challenges and real world problems while applying the rigor of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics content in a seamless fashion.
STEM proficient students are logical thinkers, effective communicators and are technologically, scientifically, and mathematically literate
My students have been recently exploring the world of hands-on activities. We recently built robots. They loved it! We want to continue to promote our students' love of science, especially engineering. The Stem Explorations Rollercoaster, Swing, Gear and Brain Building set will help my students explore STEM concepts while building. Using the materials included in these set, my students will be engaged and energized as they further their knowledge and understanding of the science, technology, engineering and math concepts associated with a real-life amusement park rides, and other building activities.
Our students have expressed excitement when they are given the opportunity to work together. They enjoy problem-solving, they love learning. Please help us continue to instill the love of STEM by providing our kids with the materials they need.
