Our goal is to eventually have a full set of iPads for our students. We are aiming to start off with 5 iPads. After researching the actual benefits of using iPads in classroom, I was astounded by what we were missing out on! To begin, there are a ton of apps designed especially for the iPad for just about every subject, learning style, and grade level. The three largest publishers, producing 90% of all textbooks used in schools, are partnering with Apple to sell digital versions. My students will have access to the majority of our textbooks digitally. That is amazing! Students themselves say that they believe tablets, such as an iPad, help them study more efficiently. Students are engaged and motivated by lessons that are used on a iPad. They also love that there are so many different options on the iPad for them to learn. For example, literacy can be improved by using even the simplest features of the iPad, such as the voice recorder. The voice recorder helps students improve their literacy. There are an abundance of reasons that having access to iPads in the classroom will make a difference in my students' learning and improve their schools lives. Please help us make this possible!
