Growing and Eating Our Own Vegetables Indoors

Help me give my students salad spinners, cutting boards, and indoor gardening tools to help my students prepare vegetables from our indoor gardens for consumption in the school.

My Project

Agriculture is the cornerstone of our community. Educating students about where our food comes from is just one of the important steps in being responsible consumers.

Why not set up hydroponic vegetable growing towers in our library to involve students in the growing process of their food?

Students will be growing herbs, vegetables, and various greens in the library. The requested supplies will help our students prepare vegetables for consumption by students in school.

Students will cut and prepare the salad using pruners, cutting boards, and salad spinners. They will learn how to make healthy salad dressings and they will use the new serving equipment to serve vegetables to elementary students. The focus will be on growing and preparing healthy recipes and snacks.
