My Students
My students are amazing and eager learners! The majority of my students are from low-income families, many speaking languages other than English and some living in difficult situations. Despite these obstacles, they come to school every day with smiles on their faces, ready to learn.
My students come to school wondering what we are going to learn about today!
They enter the room looking around to see what new activities are ready for them to work on. I try to make my classroom a place the students are eager to come to every school day!
My Project
My students need some gross motor play materials for our classroom. The majority of my students come from low-income homes. My students live in homes with limited outdoor play space, so it's important for me to incorporate gross motor play during their school day. The parachute always is a favorite with preschool kids!
The parachute is a great tool for practicing hand-eye coordination, gross motor movements and learning to work together to accomplish a task.
The stepping stones are also great for gross motor movements in addition to balance and coordination. These materials will be great tools in our classroom!
