My Project

We have a very active student leadership group in our middle school. Each grade level, 6-8, has four to eight students representing them. They are goal oriented, driven to achieve chosen community service projects, show signs of leadership, and work together as a team. In the past couple years, this group has raised money to purchase an oven for the Ronald McDonald House, cooked meals for families at the Ronald McDonald House, and made toys and beds for local animal shelters. They also did a food drive and gift card drive for a family that lost everything in a house fire. We currently have six students who were selected to serve on the State Student Council.

This year, we are looking to take our students to the next level in their leadership development.

"The Leadership Workbook For Students" by Brittany Thierman will help our students to interact and reflect on their own unique leadership style, to collaborate with other leaders, and to learn how they can independently contribute to a leadership group to improve our team and our school community.
