Help me give my students Math Instant Learning Centers, Double-sided White Boards, Touch & Read Phonics, Unifix cubes, Kinetic Sensory Sand, The Butterfly Nursery, and Unlock it Number Set Count and Link activities.
My students are wonderful kids! Because of their various learning and physical disabilities they have to push harder to learn. There are some children that are nonverbal, hearing impaired, or physically disabled. These kids are faced daily with food crisis, personal health concerns, and low socioeconomic status.
These children have so many obstacles that would be daunting to the most neurotypical person.
For these kids to face daily challenges in home and school and work tirelessly to succeed is amazing.
My Project
The Instant Math Learning Centers will be used to help students master the necessary skills to move up to their grade level while utilizing the dual learning systems. These systems will be used during small group instruction for a more individualized learning experience. The Double-Sided White Boards will be used to teach handwriting skills as well as math skills during small group instruction. The Phonics Match set will be used in small group instruction to assist children in blending words and mastering letter sounds. Unifix cubes are great in helping children learn math in a tactile matter. They provide children with opportunities to manipulate objects and master difficult math curriculum. Kinetic Sensory Sand is a must for any classroom. Kinetic Sand can be used to write sight words in or practice spelling words. Additionally, Kinetic Sand can be used to calm a troubled child or struggling student. The Butterfly Nursery would be a great addition to my classroom. While teaching the life cycle of the butterfly I will be able to incorporate reading, writing, art, and science while we observe the cycle in our classroom. Unlock It Number Match encourages math, reading, and fine motor skills by having the children count the number of stars, read the number word, and match it to the numerical number on the key. The lock opens offering an instant reward and reinforcement. Count and Learn offers one to one correspondence encouraging fine motor skills and number reinforcement.
The materials requested in this project will provide my students with a more positive learning experience and help them find success in their education.
