My Project

Gratitude has the amazing power to shift us from focusing on the negative to appreciating what is positive in our lives. Teaching students the power of gratitude gives them the tools to grow up to be grateful adults! Daily gratitude gives us a deeper connection to ourselves, our community, and to the world around us.

Everything in our lives has the ability to improve when we are grateful.

These materials will allow us to learn about the power of gratitude through diverse, powerful text. We will also be able to create gratitude jars and fill them with daily gratitudes and design gratitude stones to remind us daily to be thankful for the simple things in our lives.

Research has shown that gratitude can enhance our moods, decrease our stress and drastically improve our overall level of health and wellbeing. Grateful people tend to have fewer stress related illnesses, experience less depression, have lower blood pressure and are more physically fit. They have more satisfying personal and professional relationships, are happier, earn higher incomes and will be better liked.
