My Project

Graphic novels and comics are the most popular section of our library with statistics that blow me away each month! But are they any good? Yes! Graphic novels: help motivate readers to read more, they help readers practice visual literacy, they teach narrative structure, they can be an anchor for a reluctant or struggling reader and they are just so much fun to read!

Let's help students call themselves readers, let's give them the graphic novels they want!

Library time is made for student led choice. I want to make sure they can balance their instructional reading with pleasure reading and graphic novels are the key!

We are hoping to get more copies of books students have requests and new series that match tried and true favorites. Let's fill the shelves so that the students can empty them!
