My Project

This project will allow my students to read more non-fiction books. These books have varied reading levels to accommodate all my students. I selected sets of Magic Tree House books with related nonfiction books for my advanced readers to have enriched reading materials throughout the year.

In second grade they will need to increase their reading fluency, comprehension, and understanding of the author's purpose.

They will need to begin learning how to research a topic and write a nonfiction text. This large selection of books will give my students a chance to read informational texts throughout the year and do an animal research project.
