Granola Snacks Promote Healthy Choices for Snack

Help me give my students healthy snack choices of granola to eat during read aloud time.

My Students

I teach children with varying exceptionalities including some with specific learning disabilities, autism, vision impairment, and cerebral palsy. My students are at least two grade levels behind their same-age peers.

We are a Title I school, which means many of the children come from impoverished backgrounds.

They have parents who have many challenges. Many students are part of the Hunger Project, which helps feed them on weekends.

In my room, the students are able to work on their level and at the pace they need. We are trying to ensure that they get the most out of their education. My students work hard and they are eager and excited to learn.

My Project

In my classroom we promote healthy choices and lifestyles. We are teaching the students about the human body, their organs and systems, and how to keep their bodies clean and healthy. We are encouraging them to choose nutritious snacks when they are hungry between meals. We would love to offer them these snacks at school for our read aloud time. We would love to have granola bars. We have asked for Nature Valley Sweet and Salty Nut bars and Nature Valley Crunchy Oats and Honey bars. We have requested Kars Sweet 'N Salty trail mix as well.
