This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is a diverse group of 4th graders with various academic, social, emotional, and health needs. These students are expected to perform academic work that is rigorous and demanding. Any tool that can make the curriculum more intriguing and accessible is of help to the learning process.

Technology, art supplies, manipulatives, and more will help promote positive learning experiences for these students.

Our students come from various countries and speak multiple languages. They are eager to learn and willing to put in the extra time to better themselves.

My Project

This project promotes the learning of spelling and grammar rules and skills that are necessary to learning the English language and finding success in literacy growth. Students require supportive materials such as these workbooks (one for grammar use, and the other for spelling) to focus on explicit instruction in these areas. The workbooks promote the learning of specific skill sets and understanding the rules of the English language and word study for students who may not yet be fluent. Word studies improve students reading, writing, speaking and even, listening. Literacy in all of its forms is the future of our world and students need to be able to navigate the challenging rules of the English language.
