Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

How many times have you been in the middle of working on something important and the computer froze? Unfortunately, this is all too familiar with my students. Our class computer has seen better days. I am requesting a new computer to give my students the best learning environment with technology.

My students are very diverse.

Our school in Southern California has students with parents with great jobs and families that are homeless, and everything in between. We are a strong community who believes in a good education with parents that are involved and support their children and want them to succeed.

My Project

A new computer will enable students to view math and science lessons without interruptions due to computer freezing. We will be able to use the Smartboard as it is meant to be used: INTERACTIVELY! We will be able to switch between programs and play educational games with ease! A new reliable computer will make teaching and learning a fun and enjoyable experience everyday. I am also requesting 1 copy of Microsoft Office Home for my students to use to improve their typing skills.

This project is so important to my students this year, and my future students.

Schools have updated teaching styles with technology in the classroom. However, this technology needs to be updated every few years. I am using an unreliable computer which wastes precious instruction time when it freezes or becomes very slow. I would like to keep providing great instruction with updated technology to enrich children's lives.
