This allowed us to pause for discussion and to respond to questions that arose. It is always fun to end the day's reading on a cliffhanger, which Alan Gratz included in many of his chapters! My students found themselves eager to get back to reading and couldn't wait for the following class period!\r\nA few of my students had visited Florida or Canada, so those storylines were of interest to them.
