Help me give my students snacks, good lighting, and a relaxing smell! I took a survey for what scents they like and picked two scents that everyone will like.
I recently (one week ago) joined my current school as the 7/8th English reading support and 6th English enrichment teacher. I joined a classroom that has most of the basics (fortunately) but I want my students, some who are regularly food insecure, to feel nourished in this classroom. The overhead fluorescent lights give some of my students headaches and makes the space feel artificial and sterile. We are blessed with lots of natural light but I think if I had one lamp it would be perfect!
I used to have a diffuser in my old classroom but I moved away and donated it.
My students LOVED coming to class to find out the scent of the week (or month). It really helps freshen up the air with the many middle school students!
