My Students

My students are an energetic group! They love to have their own space in the classroom. My students come from a high poverty area. Many of them talk about not having their own items, so allowing them to have these at school is key.

My students come from a Title I school where they all receive free lunch.

My students put their struggles at home behind them in order to be the best they can be at school. All they need now are the tools to make them successful.

My Project

Our students have been learning about animals for the last few weeks in their literacy units. Many of them have only seen some of the animals in books. This experience will allow students to see and experience things that some of them have not experienced before.

This may be a once in a life time experience for some of our students.

We come from a low income school, and some of our students do not have the resources to have this experience.

In order to continue their learning, it is important for students to have real life experiences with what they learn about in class. This will give our students a real life experience that they will never forget.
