My Students

I teach elementary health and physical education students in kindergarten through sixth grade in a rural, low-income community in Central Pennsylvania.

I also am the assistant coach for our girl's varsity soccer program.

This season, we were able to improve and showcase our hard work and finish with a 19-1 record.

Unfortunately, the one loss came in our district championship game and prematurely ended our season. Our girls are dedicated, hardworking, and trying to prove that they belong with the top teams in the state.

My Project

We are in need of some new equipment for the goalkeepers on our team. Our school does new uniforms on a 5-year rotating basis between all the sports teams, and this is our year for new uniforms. The budget we receive does not cover a lot of the items we need to be successful and often our backup keepers get the short end of things. Last season, our starting goalkeeper tore her ACL in the summer. We had girls willing to be great teammates and step up to fill her role, but they didn't have the equipment needed to be successful and learn a new position.

New goalkeeper gloves, uniform socks, and uniform shorts will help our goalkeepers practice and match the rest of our team during the season!
