My Students
As an art teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I know that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. I love to challenge my students. My students have a love for art, and they love to be challenged; however, due to budget cuts, we lack many supplies that can make class more engaging for them.
My Project
My students need glue sticks in order to create wonderful works of art. Currently there is not much glue for my students in our art class. Glue is a basic art supply that can make a major difference in the types of art work that students will create. Students can use the glue to create collage art work. They can use it to also mount finished works of art on mounting paper. With glue, students will be able to take their art work a step further to create engaging art in the class room. More engaging art work leads to happier students!
