Middle school students will be using sketchbooks everyday as they enter the art room. Often times when students are done early with an assignment they like to be able to "free draw." By having sketchbooks in the class students will be able to free draw in them. The sketchbooks will be beneficial because they can also be use to extend an art assignment. Also, since the pages are altogether in a book, no free draw will be lost. I often see students crest free draws only to throw them away. By having a sketchbook, students will be able to document and keep their creative art throughout the year.
