My students need light boxes to enhance the quality in their art education.

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to challenge them and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students are creative, clever and very spontaneous.
They like to move, create and love lots of positive attention. In my my classroom I focus on their potential and growth by challenging them to push beyond their limits and disadvantages. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. I aim to inspire my continue on a path of academic excellence despite challenges they may face.
Our schools art program was completely taken away in the past and everything was taken out of the building. When I started working here two years ago the art room only had pencils and paper for the kids to work with. over the past two years I have really been trying to provide my students with a better art education program, one that matches the curriculum and gives them a variety of skills.
There are many projects in the art curriculum where my students have to trace something.
Since the art room does not have light boxes they have to improvise by going out into the hall and using a window. This causes many challenges if the sun is not out yet or the weather is bad. Having these challenges also effects the classroom. It is my goal to demolish as many challenges my students face that I can. They have asked me multiple times why we can not have light boxes and it breaks my heart that I have to tell them i do not have the budget to purchase them.
