My Students

I'm very blessed to teach a great group of kids that love to learn through active discussions, hands-on activities, and groups. My group of 100 kids contains many different types of learners with many different learning styles and abilities. I enjoy teaching through different methods so that all of my kids have access to the material.

Tapping into my students' natural curiosity and excitement about the world around them is important to me.

They become life-long learners if what they are learning is directly connected to the world they live in.

My Project

I am asking for a globe and some individual handheld globes for my classroom. They will be used to teach ecosystems and their location in the world, continents and plate tectonics, oceans, rotation, revolution, moon phases, etc.

I hope to truly put the world into perspective for my students with this globe.

To have a globe on hand to grab while I'm teaching is imperative.

The students need to know that Antarctica is truly at the "bottom" of the globe. Students need to see that the world is actually spinning WHILE it is revolving around the sun. It's important to put what I teach into a spherical perspective instead of a 2D presentation on paper. It will be used to teach students for years to come.
