Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are excited to learn in both Spanish and English. They love using technology, participating in interactive lessons, and finding new ways to express their ideas. As a Dual Language classroom, my students are constantly switching between two languages, building vocabulary, strengthening comprehension, and developing confidence as bilingual learners.

The headphones with microphones will allow students to fully participate in listening and speaking activities on their iPads without distractions.

Students will be able to listen to stories, practice pronunciation, record their responses, and engage in language-learning programs independently. Many of my students are more willing to practice speaking when they have the privacy of headphones and a microphone. These tools will help them build confidence, improve their communication skills, and take ownership of their learning.

The Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will allow me to purchase bilingual anchor charts and instructional resources that students can use every day. Anchor charts provide visual reminders of important vocabulary, grammar skills, reading strategies, and math concepts in both Spanish and English. Instead of relying only on memory, students can refer to these resources throughout the day, helping them become more independent learners and strengthening their understanding of new concepts.

By providing these resources, you will help create a classroom where students can listen, speak, read, and learn confidently in two languages. These materials will support daily instruction, increase student engagement, and give my students the tools they need to succeed as bilingual learners both now and in the future.
