Help me give my students transportable art sets to focus on their creativity, books from all genres to help them explore a new perspective, and games to bring laughter and joy to their friends and family.
Our students come from all over the Southeast region of Wisconsin and make up our "Diverse By Design" school population. Our kids come from vastly different home situations and prior school experiences which provides them with a unique opportunity to empathize and learn alongside each other while gaining insight from different perspectives.
As screen time has become more pervasive in everyone's lives due to COVID-19, we need to ensure our students are finding activities outside of the computer and phone.
Books, art kits, and other creative activities will fuel student learning outside the screen.
Screen time has been up during the distance learning time. Every teacher and parent knows that too much screen time inhibits learning. In fact, so much learning happens when playing. So, let's get the kids playing!
Water color art sets for creativity, books to transport minds, and games to engage students' brains and families will give our teens fun and continue their learning off the screen.
By supporting this project, we allow students to choose one of the items to help remind them that learning is not only measured by assignments and online submissions. Let's give some joy. That's where the real learning occurs!
