Give Students the Electronics We Need to Succeed!

Help me give my students a document camera to follow along, HDMI cords to connect to devices, and calculators to help with chemistry math!

My Project

Please help us get a document camera so I can walk students through problems and models! Students would be able to follow along with me and see what I'm doing and what I'm thinking as I go through assignments. We also need two HDMI cords because our cords went missing over the summer break and we need to connect to our projectors. Lastly, we need to replace several of our calculators from last year.

These electronics are necessary for my students to be successful in Chemistry.

Calculators go through a lot of wear and tear each year; and I've stretched our calculators to their breaking point. Some regularly malfunction or freeze up. This would give me a chance to replace the worst offenders. I also want to show students how I work through models and how I set up really tough math problems during our stoichiometry unit. A document camera would allow me the chance to demonstrate specific models on the problems in students' packets.

Lastly, we desperately need two HDMI cords because my cords went missing this summer. HDMI cords connect my computer to all our projectors, our smartboards, and other electronics. Without them, I cannot show a slideshow and I can't demonstrate how to run a simulation. These materials are necessary for effective education; please help me help our students learn and make the most of their experience in my chemistry classroom.
