This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are absolutely OOZING excitement and enthusiasm to learn. They come to my classroom every week sharing all the knowledge they have learned and ask a zillion questions about what they are simply dying to learn more about.
I want to have the most up-to-date information and pedagogy at my fingertips to ensure that I am providing top-notch instruction to these gifted and talented children.
These kids deserve the very best in teaching and learning and I aim to pour my heart and soul into educating them.
My Project
Attending the Georgia Association of Gifted Children's annual conference will give me the opportunity to promote an awareness of the needs of Georgia's gifted students, to stimulate among educational administrators, teachers, parents, legislators, the business community, and others of the general public, a deeper understanding of and interest in the needs of the gifted. Additionally, it will provide access in providing a forum for the exchange of information and ideas among the organization, to encourage and stimulate the best possible training for gifted educators to encourage and stimulate research in the area of gifted education, particularly in the State of Georgia.
I crave to learn more about how I can accommodate for the special needs of gifted and talented youth in my classroom.
