This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating has always been a goal of mine, but was tricky during years of COVID restrictions. My goal this year is to provide my energetic and fun students with various seating options.

Research has found many benefits to flexible seating including increased collaboration and communication!

As a special education teacher, I love that it provides sensory input and can help my students focus in class. It also has physical health benefits since bouncing and wobbling burns more calories than simply sitting in a chair.

Flexible seating also provides students with choice, which is important in improving the classroom environment and decreasing problem behaviors. Your help will be greatly appreciated by my students and me!
