Flexible seating has always been a goal of mine, but was tricky to accomplish financially as a first year teacher. My goal as a second year teacher is to improve my classroom and provide my students flexible seating options. Research has found many benefits to flexible seating! As a special education teacher, I love that it provides sensory input and can help my students focus in class. It also has physical health benefits since bouncing and wobbling burns more calories than simply sitting in a chair. I also love that it provides students with choice, which is important in improving the classroom environment and decreasing problem behaviors. Please help my students succeed!
