Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are part of a Project Based Learning school that encourages our students to make a difference, think outside of the box, collaborate and create. Our students are inquisitive, hardworking and creative kids with a love for learning.
With these materials our students will be able to dive even deeper into animals and their habitats by researching and creating their own enclosures for animals to not only make sure they survive but thrive!
They will apply the knowledge they learn in the many books from this project to researching about the needs of their own chosen animal and its habitat. These books will allow students to research a specific animal as well as its habitat. Students will work in groups to research zoos, sanctuaries and rehabilitation centers to discover what environment would be best for their animal and create a space to provide them with what they need using all of the amazing craft supplies here! The crafting supplies in this project such as clay, paint, tissue paper, tape, hot glue, pipe cleaners, and much more will allow students to have many options for getting creative with building their animals habitat.
