Help me give my students the organization we so desperately need with a shelving unit that will house their workbooks, notebooks, and graded papers; a one stop shop for all things math!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I could have never imagined the amount of paperwork, books, and workbooks that I would have to house as a middle school teacher. Going from elementary with 20 kids to middle school with 65 kids was a big eye opener. I have felt that my students need a space to house all of their math supplies that is grab and go. This space will offer much needed organization and support for students to become self-guided in their preparation for class.
This shelving unit will be the place where students can store their math workbook, notebooks, and see all of their work from the semester.
We will keep students accountable by doing folder checks and making sure they are putting their completed work in their folder. Students will have the responsibility of returning items to their correct spot. I have also included some candy incentives and a few items that are necessary classroom staples, like tape. This project will be a game changer for my students.
