Get Your Green On in the Library!

My students need up-to-date books (15) in the library on energy conservation, alternative energy sources and ways to live a green lifestyle to compliment their science curriculum.

Our library is "Getting our Green On" and promoting resources to encourage energy conservation, learning about alternative energy sources and ways to incorporate a green lifestyle into our everyday lives, both at home and at school! These resources will greatly enhance the science and global connection curriculum at our school!

We are stuck in the eighties!! Our non-fiction collection is outdated and we are in great need of reliable and accurate information for our students to learn about energy conservation, recycling, going green and alternative energy sources!

As the media coordinator in a school with over 1,000 students, I am looking to start a special display section of new "Green" books (15 titles) and further promote the theme of "Get Your Green On" to open student's eyes to the possiblities for alternative energy sources and environmental issues they will be facing in their future. They are in the perfect position to make a difference and to empower others to become knowledgeable and to make changes.

Energize and empower my students please! Consider what a difference just one book could make. After all, recycling just one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for three hours!
